Why Offgrid Humanitarianism?
Human Dignity
Helping others can sometimes have unintended consequences. There can be helplessness in being helped. But moving offgrid empowers people from both “developed” and “developing” countries. Look how vulnerable the UK was during the Eyjafjallajökull volcano in 2010 when food stopped arriving on supermarket shelves. Taking back our non-renewable resource – time – and regaining control of our lives gives us back dignity wherever we live. We want to work with those who need it the most by providing solutions we’d be proud to adopt ourselves.
